Queer World and Maruf wish to invite you to participate at the international conference about The Intersections of Islamophobia and LGBTIQ+phobia. The conference will take place in Oslo, Norway and consist of two parts: the first part (9-11th of September) will be a seminar for LGBTIQ+ people that identify as muslim – religiously, culturally, socially or politically. The aim of the seminar is to gather people from different parts of the world to build alliances, connect and share experiences of strenghts and challenges in a safe space. The last part (12th of September) will be an open conference with lectures and panel dialogues available for all. The seminar and conference will be conducted in English. Please send an email to nina@skeivverden.no for registering participation. If you wish to take part in the seminar, include some lines with your motivations for participation (note that the seminar is for LGBTIQ+ people that identify as muslim – religiously, culturally, socially or politically, while the conference is open to all). Costs and practical information The seminar and conference is free of charge. During the seminar, food will be provided three times a day. Accommodation will not be provided. We will be helpful to find accomodation in different price ranges. However, if your financial situation is the only barrier for you to participate, please let us know so that we can find a solution.
